Over 20,000 studio-produced karaoke tracks, delivered through a REST API and played inside your own software. Encrypted delivery, a subscription per venue or per customer, and player SDKs for Android, Windows, Electron, native and web.
Talk to us about licensing Read the API docsYes. Sunfly licenses its karaoke catalogue to software companies for use inside their own applications, kiosks and venue platforms. The content is delivered through a REST API and played with a Sunfly player SDK, so the catalogue sits inside your product behind your own interface.
Sunfly has been producing karaoke since 1991 and is among the most recognised karaoke labels in the world. Partners today include venue entertainment platforms, karaoke kiosk manufacturers and desktop karaoke software.
Put a licensed catalogue inside a product you already have, with your own interface and your own customer relationship.
Activate each unit with its own key. XML lyrics with MP3 audio if you render your own display, or ready-made MP4 if you do not.
A subscription per site, created through the API as the estate grows, and stopped just as easily.
Your software asks what has changed in the catalogue, downloads the tracks it needs once, and asks for a licence each time one is played. Content arrives encrypted and is useless without that licence.
Playback stops, including for files they have already downloaded. Entitlement is checked when a licence is issued rather than when a file is delivered, so ending a subscription ends access without anyone visiting the venue or deleting anything.
That is what makes a per-venue or per-customer subscription workable. Each subscriber can be created, suspended, resumed or ended on its own, through the API, as your estate changes.
Over 20,000, in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Tagalog, Japanese and Hindi. A Top 1,000 subset is available for partners who want a smaller starting catalogue.
MP4 video with lyrics, MP3 audio, CD+G graphics, and XML lyric files paired with MP3 audio for platforms that render their own karaoke display. Guide vocals are available for many titles.
Kotlin for Android and JVM kiosks, .NET for desktop applications on Windows, macOS and Linux, Node for Electron desktop apps, C++ for embedded and native hosts, and JavaScript for web players. .NET, C++ and Kotlin come with an approved account; Node and the browser SDK are granted on request. All five read the same format and call the same licence endpoint.
Encrypted with AES-256 and unplayable without a licence issued against the subscription. The decrypted audio or video is never written to disk by our SDKs.
Within a window. A granted licence stays valid for around 72 hours without contacting the server, which covers a venue with an unreliable connection.
Technically yes — every SDK except the browser one can play from any point in a track, and the browser SDK plays from the start. Whether your licence covers it is a commercial question, so ask us and we will put it in the agreement rather than leave it ambiguous.
It depends on the model — per venue, per end customer, or open access — and on volume. Tell us what you are building and we will quote against it.
Use the Protected API (v2) for anything new. It delivers encrypted files, authenticates with an access key, and enforces a subscription per venue or per customer. The Original API (v1) returns time-limited links to unencrypted files and remains supported for existing integrations.
Every endpoint needs a credential, and credentials are issued by us rather than self-served. If you do not have one yet, ask below and we will set your account up.
Tell us what you are building and we will come back with the formats, the commercial model and what your integration would involve.
